Purpose
The Brico "BR" Seating Nipple is a generic copy of a Baker "R" which has been in use for over 30 years world wide in a wide range of oil and gas wells. The "BR" nipple is a bottom no-go seating nipple which provides a location for various wireline flow control devices in the production tubing tail pipe. Careful attention and planning needs to be considered as the "BR" has a restricted I.D. below the polish bore. This restricted bore provides a landing shoulder no-go and allows recorder instrument hangers, check valves, down hole chokes and blanking plugs to be installed.
