JRC Setting Tools
Introduction
Jet Research Center offers a variety of field proven setting tools and associated equipment. Many of these products are in their first and second generation of development and have been improved to increase their efficiency and effectiveness. This section provides information concerning the following equipment:
- Wireline Pressure Setting Tools
Wireline Pressure Setting Tools
Jet Research Center’s Setting Tools feature top and bottom pistons to eliminate presetting of plugs, retainers, or packers. A slow burning power charge allows positive setting with less shock stress. These tools are easily maintained and have self-bleeding capabilities. In addition, “Long-Stroke” Wireline Pressure Setting Tools feature increased stroke length to enable the setting of casing patches, long travel bridge plugs, and any tool requiring more than normal stroke and tension than standard conventional pressure setting tools. Their features are the same as the standard tools except for the addition of a second working piston.
